I have been writing and teaching about the political conflict in Northern Ireland and the peace process for 30 years and have published numerous books and journal articles about the attempts to build political stability in the region.




To mark the centenary of Northern Ireland, Yale University Press published a fully revised edition of Northern Ireland: The Reluctant Peace in March 2021 as a paperback. The new title Northern Ireland: The Fragile Peace was substantially updated from the original book, with new chapters and other revisions to cover the 8 years since first publication.
